Historic, flexible, and rooted in the heart of Hanover Park —
The Barrel Barn is made for celebrations that feel real.
The Barrel Barn
Historic. Flexible. Full of Possibility.
The Space
The Barrel Barn began as an old truck bed factory—a hardworking piece of local history that now stands repurposed as our event space.
When you walk through the doors, you’re surrounded by wood that’s more than 100 years old. Overhead string lights cast a warm glow. The scale feels open and airy, yet grounded and intimate at the same time. It’s rustic without feeling rough, historic without feeling outdated. Relaxed, lighthearted, and built for gathering.
The Barrel Barn reflects the heart of Hanover Park itself—rooted in history, shaped by family, and designed for connection.
Whether you’re envisioning an intimate ceremony, a laid-back reception, a candlelit dinner, or a lively celebration with music and dancing, the space can shift to fit your vision.
Indoor and outdoor areas allow for natural flow throughout your event. Full bathrooms and open gathering space keep guests comfortable. With a capacity of up to 250 guests, the space works beautifully for both smaller, intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.
Furniture can be arranged to suit your layout. Decor can reflect your style. Vendors can bring your vision to life.

Weddings at the Barrel Barn
Weddings here feel personal. Couples who choose The Barrel Barn often value atmosphere over formality. They want warmth, flexibility, and a setting that feels authentic rather than overproduced.
Your wedding day here can be as simple or as detailed as you imagine. From romantic lighting to relaxed farm views, the space supports both elevated elegance and laid-back charm.
And when you work with Hanover Park, you’re not navigating a corporate venue. You’ll have one-on-one communication with a member of our team throughout the planning process—ensuring your experience feels smooth, thoughtful, and personal.
Do you just do weddings in the barrel barn?
No! The space is available for all types of events from high school reunions to birthday celebrations and everything in between. The relaxed environment makes it easy for guests to feel comfortable and connected in whatever capacity you need it for.
Can I customize the wine and bar service for our event?
Absolutely. Wine service at The Barrel Barn is built around what works best for your gathering — from a full open bar to a curated selection of reds and whites. We’ll work with you to find the right fit.
Can we bring in outside catering?
Yes. Outside caterers and vendors are welcome at The Barrel Barn. The one requirement: all food must arrive pre-cooked and ready to serve. Your caterer handles the prep; we handle the atmosphere.
What if it rains on our event day?
You’re covered. The Barrel Barn is a fully indoor space, so weather has minimal impact on your celebration. A rainy day might change what’s happening outside, but it won’t touch what’s happening inside.
How far in advance should we book?
Most events at The Barrel Barn are booked 6 months to a year ahead — but we do our best to accommodate events at any point in the year. No date is off the table. If you have something in mind, reach out and we’ll see what we can make work.
What should we communicate early in the planning process?
The earlier the better on setup and breakdown timing, event flow, and any specific logistics your event requires. Early communication is the best way to make sure everything runs smoothly — and it’s something we actively encourage.
Is The Barrel Barn the right fit for our event?
If you’re looking for warmth, character, and a space where guests feel at home from the moment they walk in — yes. The Barrel Barn is made for intimate, flexible celebrations in a setting that feels both historic and personal.
If you’re after a nightclub-style venue or a formal ballroom, we’re probably not the right match. But if atmosphere and authenticity matter to you, you’ll feel right at home here.
